Business Support Assistant
HR and Business Support Department


35 hours per week
Temporary maternity cover up to July 2017

As a Business Support Assistant in the HR and Business Support Department, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks to make sure records are up to date and organised and administrative operations run smoothly. You will also provide support for a wide variety of projects to support the organisation.This will involve a wide range of administrative tasks including:

booking travel and accommodation
preparation and receipting of purchase orders
database administration
record keeping and organising of information
preparation of statistical information in Microsoft Excel
electronic and manual processing and filing of information and correspondence
working with members of the team to develop and improve administration procedures.

You must be able to demonstrate that you:

have attention to detail and accuracy
have excellent organisational skills
appreciate the need for confidentiality
are motivated to work hard in a busy team
can use your initiative appropriately to perform as efficiently as possible
take responsibility for planning and prioritising your own workload to make surestandards of quality and deadlines are met
work effectively on your own initiative and with minimum supervision
are proficient in Microsoft Office suite with excellent IT skills and an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing with different audiences
present information in a methodical and concise manner
have the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
