About Us

We are Alternative Futures Group (AFG) a leading charity based in the North West that specialises in providing integrated health and social care services for people with lived experience of mental illness, learning disability and complex needs. We focus on providing high quality, cost effective, person-centred services that support achievement of positive outcomes for the people we support enabling them to be in control of their own lives and helping them to realise their individual hopes and aspirations.

As the 2014 Charity of the Year we are constantly seeking ways to improve our offer to those who use and commission our services. The circumstances we operate in are challenging given the current economic conditions which means we must use the resources available to us appropriately, responsibly and ethically in line with our person centred values. Against this background we are realising our ambition by transforming our business and our care offer so that we remain fit for purpose and fit for the future.

Over the last few months we have completed the first stage of our transformation programme in order to position us to embark on the next stage of the organisations development - building on our success, breaking with the past and investing in our alternative future.
