Lead Creative Retoucher at Hangar Seven Ltd

The Role
Hangar Seven is seeking an exceptional Lead Creative Retoucher to join our busy, growing retouching team in London. This is a key role within the broader retouching team and you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality execution of any and all projects that are assigned either directly to you, or the team as a whole. The content we produce for our clients is used across multiple channels from publications to packaging and social media; covering all sectors - Home Interest, Health and Beauty, Food and Fashion.

Our ideal candidate:

- Expertly versed in both creative and technical approaches
- Detail-oriented and will demonstrate an exemplary work ethic and positive attitude.
- Exceptional technical skills and organization, be able to effectively manage and prioritize their assigned tasks, work well against tight deadlines and responds positively to rapidly changing demands
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar senior role

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high quality retouched digital imagery to client brief
- Oversee the work of others in the department to make sure the output meets the highest quality standards
- Create files for both RGB and CMYK workflows
- Provide guidance to colleagues within own work group and train more junior employees on a variety of technical skills
- Work with the Head of retouch to adapt and improve the current procedures/techniques and workflows
- Review briefs directly with the Head of retouch to determine the best method of execution
- Work alongside Photographers, Art Directors and Account Management to take briefs and act as technical advisor to achieve the desired results via retouch where necessary
- Prepare colour accurate digital proofs using GMG
- Assist in the delivery of final assets to appropriate specification
